Dear Dick and Mary,

I agree with you totally. It is a cycle, not global warming, it gets warm, and then it gets cold, for 1000's of years. The evil one wants us to think differently. God is Control. They are not going to save this earth. We are getting a new heaven and a new earth, Rev.21:1. What a Blessed Day that is going to be.
Blessings,
Kathy

Brian, thank you for your reassurance. I received two e-mails that obviously thought I was pushing a cause for global cooling. But I do treasure those who acknowleged that I was pushing God.

Enjoyed reading your thoughts on 9/11 ten years ago, and the current ones. Yes, I do think Islam & Christianity are at an impasse-----and the terror goes on...and on...

Thank You Dick for your inspirational blog!!! -- that you remember where you were at the time of 9/11 & that it will probably be one of your most memorable of all trips--sorry to say. However you were spared from actually seeing the horrendous disaster that was televised for everyone to see. Such as it will be today & has been these past several days. I do realize we need to remember for the sake of the fallen heros & brave people that helped saves lives and we need to honor them ! and I think our country has done a good job of doing that--but to relive it again today & see the terrible filming of it all again will be very difficult for those families that lost their loved ones and what will that accomplish for them or anyone?? It is a rhetorical question & my personal thoughts--- especially as you have said-- we haven't seen an end to that
violent tradegy. So I will be diligently in prayer today for Gods "covering" and trust the outcome of it all will be-- HIS--- !! THANKS BE TO GOD

Comment on Can there be Peace in the Middle East ? by Dick

This is mainly in response to Dianne, but I hope the rest of you can benfit also . . .

The timelines of history are all about wars and viscious slaughterings. After about 6,000 years of recorded history (you would know better than I if that's close to the right number) it seems very obvious that it's a bad tradition that we'll never finish. But as I said in the blog, we as Christians have the mandate to be peacemakers. Were it not for us, it might be worse.

Some earthy people see the prophesies of scripture as providing the assurance that mankind will indeed see our Prince of Peace coming back to rule on earth to straighten things out. If it happens, no one will be happier than I. However, all that really matters is that we have the promise that He is preparing a place for us. Now that sounds perfect enough for me, even though it's a place we cannont comprehend . . . just yet. But it is enough to keep me from being discouraged, and I hope you can find it so.

Behind my title question is the inference that we really cannot expect peace in the Middle East or anywhere else on this earth. . . ever. It's just my inference, I can't really know.

When Jesus sat there looking over the city of Jerusalem, Jesus wept. Perhaps he was thinking about the coming destruction of Jerusalem. The peace we share is not about sessation of wars, it's about the inner peace that Jesus brings.

Hang in!
Dick

Thanks Dick,
You did a great job. And thank you for adding the links. I really can't add to this, I think you have pretty much said it all. You know Dick, the Bible tells us these things will happen, and they are. We are living in a very exciting age. I pray for the ones that are going to be Left Behind. It is not going to get any better. Keep up the good work, I think you are doing a great job.
God Bless

Dick, I think this is one of your better blogs. I really enjoyed it. It is something else. I have noticed the same thing at Winco. We are getting invaded. They want Israel and us gone. It is just a matter of time. This rioting in Egypt is not good. If the brotherhood gets in, watch out. Jesus is Coming, soon, Luke 21:28, your redemption draws nigh. I sure am glad Mary keeps tabs on you.

Love and God Bless

Excellent. Could not have said it any better. They are not a religion of peace. It is horrible what they do their women. And they want the same thing here. They want us under Sharia law. That is their purpose. We can not trust them.

God Bless Dick, and keep up the good work. You are telling the truth. And you know what, the truth hurts sometimes.

Love and God Bless

Thanks, Ron and Jeff. And someday we'll tap into God's eternal perspective! I think that's what He invites us to partake of as children of God. How exciting is that??!!
